Bears Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
Baylor beat LSU at Wolverines Stadium, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Matt Williams, who earned player of the game honors. Even with the win, the Bears have a dismal 5-10 record.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth inning. Facing LSU hurler Eric Rekowski, Steve Morrison hit a 2-run double. The Bears went on to win.

"We'll savor this win," Morrison told the Baylor Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
