The Owls faced a stiff challenge from Louisiana-Layfayette pitcher Cody Reck, but persevered to claim a win at Field of the Dukes. The final score was 4-2. Reck went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Dylan Richardson closed the door for Rice, picking up his 4th save of the year. At 6-9, the Owls are currently 19th in the Cliff Gustafson.
