Green Wave Continue Skid Thanks to Bishop, Longhorns

The Texas Longhorns defeated the Tulane Green Wave, 8-7, at Berthoud College Grounds. Texas third baseman David Bishop was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Texas reliever Santiago Melendez was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Justin Hensley. The losing streak for Tulane has now reached 5 games.
Eric Hill contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that propelled Texas to the win.
