Bloomington pitcher Orlando Villavicencio had a large part in his team subduing the Ft. Worth Werewolves, 7-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The Werewolves, at 8-19, have stumbled out of the gate.

Bloomington used a clutch at-bat from Willie Zapien to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Hoosiers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Zapien was taciturn after the game. "A win's a win," he said.
