Trojans Fall Short at Texas
Will King had a good game, but he could not keep the USC Trojans from falling, 6-5, to the Texas Longhorns at Ballpark of Celebration College. The USC right fielder hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. The winner was Texas reliever Blaine Reynolds, now 1-1. The loser was Craig Sheehan. Texas is now 5-8.

Gary Ervin had the critical at-bat for Texas. With two out in the bottom of the 12th inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Texas the 6-5 walk-off win.

"This place was electric at the end," Ervin said.
