Dettmann Excels, But Green Wave Win
Texas A&M center fielder Bobby Dettmann was sensational. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Tulane beat the Aggies, 11-8. David Feldman earned the win. Tim Jones took the loss for Texas A&M. Bobby Thompson picked up the save, his 2nd.

David Rice, who is tied for 7th in the RDL in bases on balls with 18, chipped in a 2-run home run for Tulane in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Mubale Kweli told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
