The Aiken Thoroughbreds had no problem beating the San Carlos Pipers, 11-2, at Aiken Stadium. Jay Owen, who is tied for 4th in the TLA in runs scored with 37, led the onslaught. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 3 walks. He scored 4 runs for Aiken. The win gives the Thoroughbreds a record of 23-3.

The fans who came to support the Thoroughbreds were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Aiken Stadium.
