Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Thunderbirds
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Orlando Moreira, the Surrey Thunderbirds defeated the Kingston Beats, 11-4. Moreira went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Thunderbirds. Surrey reliever Sergio Arrache picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Luis Valdez absorbed the loss. The Beats fall to 8-17.

Mario Figueroa drew 1 walk for Surrey. The 24-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Luis Valdez. It was his 3rd walk of the season.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Moreira.
