Despite a great performance by Ole Miss center fielder Adrian Lehman, the South Mississippi Golden Eagles defeated the Rebels by the score of 6-2 at Ballpark of Wrightsville College. Lehman was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. South Mississippi reliever Mike Plante snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. John Felder shouldered the loss. The Golden Eagles have now won 4 straight.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for John Crabtree? The South Mississippi right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Golden Eagles on top, 2-0. For the game, Crabtree had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"No disrespect to the other team," said South Mississippi manager John Inglis. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
