The Aiken Thoroughbreds polished off the Rancho Cucamonga by the score of 12-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to center fielder Willis Munoz. Munoz was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice for the Thoroughbreds. Loan Gérard picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-2. He struck out 5 in 7 innings. The Cucamonga fall to 6-14 and continue their sub-.500 start to the 2066 season.

With Aiken leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Munoz hit a fastball from Javier Santos for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Thoroughbreds ahead, 4-0.

"It felt good to put the barrel on the ball," said Munoz.
