Ducks shortstop Cory Burke left his imprint on his team's 7-5 win over the Texas A&M Aggies. Burke was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Oregon in the contest. David Toellner earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Getting the save was Josh Nauman, his 1st.

There was more than one reason the Ducks beat the Aggies, but Burke's big at-bat in the bottom of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 6-5 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Burke told a Oregon Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
