Hurricanes Subdue Florida, 3-1
|
Miami got a first-rate effort from pitcher Jonathan Higbee, who frustrated Florida hitters en route to a 3-1 Hurricanes triumph at Gremlins Ballpark. Their 6-4 record puts the Hurricanes 8th in the Ron Fraser Division.
Miami right fielder Octavio Soto contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Soto was 1-3 with a walk.
Higbee attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
