The River Falls Falcons claimed a close win over the Mojave Rattlers, due in large part to Alejandro Munoz. The River Falls right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Tony Munoz earned the save for River Falls, his 5th. The Rattlers, 9-10, continue their sluggish start to the 2064 campaign.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Falcons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when right fielder Masayuki Kobayashi hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Alfredo Mondragon and made the score 2-0, Falcons. Kobayashi was 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"Runs were at a premium," said River Falls manager Ryan Cunningham.
