Bears Get Close Win Over Horned Frogs
|
The Bears faced a stiff challenge from TCU pitcher Steve Riley, but persevered to claim a win at Wolverines Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Riley went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The 22nd-place Horned Frogs have lost 6 straight games.
Baylor designated hitter Jeff White had a key at-bat for the Bears in the bottom of the ninth inning. Facing right-hander Chris Summers, White hit a walk-off solo home run. It put Baylor in front, 3-2. For the day, White went 1-4 with a home run.
