The Toronto Blue Jays outscored the Aiken Thoroughbreds, 14-9. Among the hitting stars was third baseman Dan Wooten. Wooten, who is tied for 9th in the TLA in triples with 1, went 3-5 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. Toronto reliever David Feldman snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alejandro Escobedo shouldered the loss. Aiken, with the loss, is still a robust 16-3.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Manuel Valdez came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Aiken pitcher Alejandro Escobedo, he hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Toronto on top, 10-9.

"We've got a great group of guys," Wooten said, "and we're having fun right now."
