The California Golden Bears withstood a fine game by Mississippi State left fielder Ricardo Meneses at Prisoners Ballpark, to upend the Bulldogs, 6-5. Meneses went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Mississippi State falls to 5-4.

Skylar Walsh was the walk-off hero for California. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Golden Bears third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
