Springfield starter Rodolfo Brambila put a stranglehold on the San Carlos offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Sentries to a 4-1 win. Brambila, now 1-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Mario Abundis earned the save for Springfield, his 3rd of the year.

Clint Farmer had a chance to be a hero in the top of the eighth inning. With San Carlos trailing 2-1, San Carlos had a runner on 1st. But Farmer hit into a double play.
