Ragin Cajuns Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns starter Ashton Dick pitched a strong game against the Long Beach State 49'ers at Ballpark of Macclenny College, leading the Ragin Cajuns to a 4-1 win. John Cammisa earned the save, his 2nd, for the Ragin Cajuns. Louisiana-Layfayette is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 3rd in 8 games.
The Ragin Cajuns took the lead in the top of the fifth. With two out, John Allen hit a 3-run home run off Long Beach State pitcher Karl Atkinson, putting Louisiana-Layfayette in front, 4-0. For the game, Allen went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Allen told the Louisiana-Layfayette Observer.
