Jason Mayes helped his team muscle past the Michigan Wolverines, 7-3. In the game, the Oklahoma first baseman was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Reliever Scott Willis picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Isaiah Lofton took the loss. Zach Sutton finished the game for Oklahoma and earned his 2nd save.

Mayes put Oklahoma up, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Mike Admire in the top of the fifth. His 4th home run of the season helped the Sooners capture the win.
