Carnes Powers Ragin Cajuns to 14-4 Win
Aaron Carnes knocked in 4 runs to help the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns win, 14-4, over the Fresno State Bulldogs. Tony Gray picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mike Cornwell was tagged with the loss. Fresno State now has a record of 4-3.

The Bulldogs had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Ragin Cajuns going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old third baseman Jason Shannon came to the plate. Shannon hit a bases-clearing double on a full count fastball from Fresno State hurler Mike Cornwell. It was Shannon's 2nd double of the year.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Carnes said after the game.
