Rummer, Blue Jays Rough Up Pipers, 12-3
The Toronto Blue Jays just keep winning.

The Toronto Blue Jays soundly defeated the San Carlos Pipers, 12-3, at Pipers Grove, with left fielder Adam Rummer a major reason why. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for Toronto. Danny Corona earned the win to go to 4-0. He allowed 3 runs on 13 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts in 7.2 innings of work.

Rummer had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth to put Toronto in front, 4-1. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off San Carlos pitcher Juan Carrasco.

San Carlos manager Chris Santacroce said: "We'll rinse this one off and get ready for the next game."

Early on, the Blue Jays, at 13-0, have excelled.
