With third baseman Carlos Villarreal leading the charge, the Springfield Sentries defeated the Ft. Worth Werewolves, 12-7, at Werewolves Grounds. Villarreal was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Ft. Worth now has a record of 4-9.

With Springfield leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Villarreal hit a changeup from Danny Gonzalez for a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Sentries ahead, 3-0.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Sentries manager Jerry Day. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
