Zion Smith was instrumental in his team's 3-2 triumph over the Indiana State Sycamores. The first baseman belted 2 home runs for the Ohio State Buckeyes. The loss drops Indiana State to 2-4.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Luis Hernandez had a chance to end it. Indiana State pitcher Zach Cowan had other ideas. But with one out, Hernandez hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Buckeyes had the win.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Indiana State manager Isei Azuma.
