Losing Streak Continues for Beats with 5-3 Loss to Alpines
|
Kingston center fielder Melvin Silva had a good game, even if his team did not. The Beats dropped a 5-3 decision to Saint John at Beats Park. Silva was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Saint John reliever Gustavo Castro, now 1-0. The loser was Dan Devaney. Kingston, now 2-10, continues its dreadful start.
Doug O'Berry, who is tied for 10th in the RLA with a 1.314 OPS, helped out the Saint John cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 2 walks in 5 trips to the plate.
"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Kingston manager David Duarte.
