The Estación Juanita Red Wings picked up a win at Red Wings Grove, topping the Santa Clara Vampyres, 4-2. On the mound for Estación Juanita was right-hander Alex Ruiz. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Red Wings are off to a tough start, getting just their 3rd win in 12 games.
The Red Wings benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the seventh. With Todd Corcoran at bat and Estación Juanita leading 3-2, the Santa Clara miscue allowed Estación Juanita to plate 1 and take the lead, 4-2.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Ruiz.
