Golden Bears Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
California rode a fine outing from starter Travis Bridenbaugh to victory over the USC Trojans at Prisoners Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. In 6 innings, Bridenbaugh surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Jason Franklin earned his 2nd save in 2 tries.

Mike Bauer was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for California. The 19-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth.
