Beats Beat Cougars, 7-6
|
Lloyd Lemay had a good game, but he could not keep the Victoria Cougars from falling, 7-6, to the Kingston Beats at Beats Park. The Victoria right fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 in the loss. Diego Alanis earned the save for Kingston, his 6th. Victoria falls to 7-5.
In the bottom of the 6th, right fielder Jason Pedlar gave Kingston the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Beats had been trailing 6-5, but the two-out single off Victoria pitcher Joel Darbonne changed that -- and Kingston went on to win.
"You can never predict what'll happen," Pedlar said. "That's why you play the game."
