Longhorns Come Back Late to Clip Rebels
The Ole Miss Rebels got a superb performance from pitcher Cody DeSota, but the Texas Longhorns still won the game, 5-3. DeSota was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings allowing 3 runs. Texas reliever Jeremy Humm picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ethan Odom was saddled with the loss. With the win, Texas elevates its record to 3-2.

Mike Salati made it 4-3 in favor of Texas when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Longhorns went on to win.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Salati told the Texas Citizen. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
