Ollervides Launches 2 Dingers, But Oklahoma Wins
Though he had a great game, Rodolfo Ollervides could not single-handedly produce a win for Ohio State. Oklahoma won the game, 3-2. Ollervides hit 2 home runs. George Caggiano got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 1. With the loss, Ohio State falls to 0-3.

Rich Van Fleet was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Oklahoma. The 21-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Billy Moses. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.
