Navarro Launches 2 Dingers, But Mojave Wins
|
Though he had a terrific game, Vincent Navarro could not prevent his team, the Media Luna Marlins, from absorbing a loss. Mojave won the game, 9-5. Navarro slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Mike Vega closed the game out for Mojave, earning his 1st save. At 2-1, the Rattlers have played well so far.
Raul Inzunza had a big grand slam home run for the Rattlers in the bottom of the first inning. With Mojave leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a changeup from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Luis Landin and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Rattlers on top, 5-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Inzunza. "And not try to do too much."
