The River Falls Falcons overcame a good performance by Victory Lakes shortstop Ted McCoy to knock off Victory Lakes, 6-2, at Crawfish Grounds. McCoy went 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 2. The winner was Alex Arias, who threw 124 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits. Tony Munoz closed the game out for River Falls, earning his 1st save.
River Falls second baseman Victor Ramirez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two down, he hit a slider to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 5th hit of the season and put the Falcons ahead, 4-2.
