Blue Jays, Waugh Pin Bad Loss on Sentries
The Toronto Blue Jays cruised to a win over the Springfield Sentries, 12-2, at Exhibition Stadium. Ben Waugh led the way, going 3-for-3 for Toronto. Toronto goes to 2-0.

The Blue Jays got a big hit from catcher Manuel Valdez. Facing Springfield pitcher Ricky Cruz in the bottom of the sixth, Valdez pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 1st home run of the season put the Blue Jays ahead, 10-1.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Jerry Day.
