Fuller Rips 2 Home Runs in 14-6 Tigers Triumph
The Auburn Tigers began the 2062 season with a convincing 14-6 win over the Virginia Cavaliers at Zodiac Ballpark. Most impressive was Auburn first baseman Brandon Fuller, who belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 8. Clint Schindler was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with no walks and 6 strikeouts.

David Wirth had a big grand slam home run for the Tigers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Auburn leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Justin Upshur and swatted a home run to left. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 6-1.

"We're producers not directors," said Fuller. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
