Vic Harrison Goes Distance in Win
|
The Manati Athenians got a strong performance from pitcher Vic Harrison, who stymied the Mayaguez offense en route to a 6-1 win at Ballpark of Athenians. Manati is now 29-16, 6½ games up in the Roberto Clemente Division.
The Indians had little chance against Harrison, who overpowered Mayaguez hitters and struck out 10.
Harrison said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
