Vasquez has 4 hit night, Indians Move to 7-3
|
Indians designated hitter Nestor Vasquez put his stamp on his team's 11-4 win over the Caguas Creoles. Vasquez went 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Mayaguez in the contest. The winner was Vic Preciado, who threw 131 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits. Mayaguez is now 7-3, 2 games up in the Roberto Clemente Division.
With Mayaguez leading 3-2 in the top of the fourth, Vasquez hit a fastball from Wouter Hop for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Indians ahead, 5-2.
