Juan Calderon batted in 3 runs to lead Mayaguez to a win over Manati. The final score was 9-3. Calderon chipped in with 1 single and 1 home run. Alfredo Urquiza nailed down his 1st save. Mayaguez, now 4-0, has played well in the early going.

Calderon had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch sinker from Mike Baldwin, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Indians a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Calderon.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Calderon.
