Giants Score Late to Upend Bandits, 9-8
The Brisbane Bandits and Adelaide Giants provided some drama at Field of the Bandits.

The Adelaide Giants trumped the Brisbane Bandits, 9-8, at Field of the Bandits. Adelaide left fielder Brett Bergstrom was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Giants saw their win-loss record go to 30-24. At the same time, the Bandits fell to 26-28.

Adelaide used the timely hitting of Mitch Malcolm to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Giants on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Malcolm told the Adelaide Chronicle.
