Tuatara Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Brisbane
|
The Auckland Tuatara topped the Brisbane Bandits by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Kurt Cant. Cant was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Tuatara. Bert Aldridge sewed up the save, his 15th. Auckland goes to 29-22. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.
Cant came through with some timely hitting for Auckland. With the score 3-3 in the bottom of the fifth and no one down, Cant hit a 1-1 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season made it 5-3, Auckland.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Cant told the Auckland News.
