Cavalry Win at Brisbane, 7-2
|
Canberra and Brisbane met at Field of the Bandits in front of a lively crowd.
The Canberra Cavalry dealt the Brisbane Bandits a 7-2 loss at Field of the Bandits. Justin McCoy was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Logan Murray recorded the save for Canberra, his 12th of the season.
Ronald Hanscombe had a nice at-bat for the Cavalry with one out in the top of the second. With runners on 1st and 3rd, the catcher hit a 2-run double, which would prove important in the Canberra win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Hanscombe told reporters after the game.
