Hancock Magnificent in Melborne Win
The Melborne Aces shut out the Brisbane Bandits 11-0 today behind the strong pitching of Steven Hancock. Hancock surrendered only 7 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 5.

Following the last out, Hancock appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Brisbane manager Aaron Barnes, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Hancock's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The Bandits skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Aces press conference, Hancock confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Hancock said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Melborne manager Roy Shurtz added.

Hancock has posted a 3-3 record for the year with a 3.48 ERA. Teams are hitting .247 against him and he has rung up 31 strikeouts in 44 innings.
