Heat Win at Adelaide, 4-2

The Adelaide Giants got a superb performance from pitcher Clint Trew, but the Perth Heat still won the game, 4-2. Trew was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. Callum Forbes was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 10 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts. The Heat bumped their record to 19-17 with this latest triumph.
Perth used the timely hitting of Vincent Addicott to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Heat on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Perth manager Joey Hedlund.
