Korea Outmuscle Canberra, 13-8
|
Chris Rearden led Geelong to a win over Canberra. The final score was 13-8. The right fielder collected 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Geelong's record now stands at 16-14, placing them third in the Australian Baseball Southwest Division.
The Korea got an important contribution from left fielder Tristan Curnow, who in the top of the first punched a 1-1 fastball into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Korea ahead, 3-0.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Curnow said.
