The Adelaide Giants defeated the Sydney Blue Sox, 7-5, at Giants Grounds. Adelaide first baseman Andrew Turner was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Reliever Cody Courcha picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Glen Hudswell took the loss. Adelaide is now riding a 4-game win streak.
The Giants took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Sydney hurler Glen Hudswell with no outs, Turner hit a 2-run home run.
