The Brisbane Bandits topped the Canberra Cavalry by the score of 8-5, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Matthew Dewar. Dewar was 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Bandits. The Bandits have an impressive 11-7 record.

Dewar contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Brisbane get the win.
