Starting pitcher Josh Lewis pitched well enough to help the Canberra Cavalry beat the Adelaide Giants by the score of 9-6. Lewis got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Lewis allowed no earned runs. Logan Murray closed it out for his 4th save.

Canberra used the bat of Luke Christy to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Cavalry ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Christy told the Canberra Today.

The Cavalry saw their win-loss record go to 5-9. At the same time, the Giants fell to 8-6.
