Bandits Come Up Short at Geelong
Both teams had their chances, but the Geelong Korea eventually prevailed at Ballpark of South Korea.

Geelong catcher Karl Thorne made his presence felt in the 8-7 Korea triumph over the Brisbane Bandits. Thorne went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Geelong starter Mitch Stennings was credited with the win after throwing 134 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-1.

With Geelong trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Thorne hit a 3-run home run off Brisbane hurler Brayden Hammond. It was the 1st home run of the season for Thorne and put his team ahead, 3-1.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Thorne said.

Geelong is now 8-7.
