Heat Need Extra Frames to Get Past Bandits
The Brisbane Bandits got a sterling performance from pitcher Hayden Twomey, but the Heat still prevailed, 3-2. Twomey was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. The last-place Heat now have a win-loss record of 5-7.

An important at-bat for the Heat came in the top of the 11th, when third baseman Caspar Lindner stroked a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2 in favor of Perth. For the day, Lindner went 3 for 6 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Perth manager Joey Hedlund.
