Bandits Come Back Late to Top Heat
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Brisbane Bandits got the win.
Brisbane Bandits starter Edwin Ollson turned in an exceptional performance against the Perth Heat at Field of the Bandits, resulting in a Brisbane win, 4-2. Brisbane reliever Wes Dunlop was the winner. His record is now 1-0. David Grimes took the loss.
The Bandits got a big boost from right fielder Marco Speed who had a 2-run triple in the bottom of the eighth inning off Heat hurler David Grimes. It was his 1st triple of the season and put Brisbane on top, 4-2.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Ollson.
The Bandits keep rolling, raising their record to 8-3.
