Giants Bang Out 8-6 Win Versus Geelong
|
The Adelaide Giants relied on the hitting of left fielder Nicholas Clarke to stop the Geelong Korea, 8-6. For the game, Clarke went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The win was credited to Bao-qing Huang in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Wayne Keevil took the loss. The Korea fall to 5-5 and continue their uneasy start to the 2044 season.
It could have been a different outcome for Adelaide, had it not been for Dave Commiskey, the 18-year old center fielder . Commiskey contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Adelaide up, 2-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Commiskey. "And not try to do too much."
