Cariparma Bang Out 8-5 Win Versus Grosetto

Parma and Grosetto duked it out at Parma Stadium and the Cariparma came out victorious.
The Parma Cariparma beat the Grosetto Fiat, 8-5, at Parma Stadium. Parma left fielder Sake Vermulst earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs. Emeril Pizzul, the winner, improved to 4-1. He held the Fiat to 3 earned runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 10. Earning his 4th save for Parma was Flavien Manin.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Cariparma had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the first, when right fielder Ricardo Barbarigo hit a 2-run triple. The triple came off Largo Crivelli and made the score 2-0, Cariparma. Barbarigo was 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Vermulst said.
The Cariparma raised their record to 17-22.
